DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL THERAPY

Introduction

The Department of Physical Therapy is dedicated to the education, training, and professional development of skilled physical therapists through its Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MS PT) programs. With a strong commitment to clinical excellence, evidence-based practice, and patient-centered care, the department prepares graduates to play a vital role in the rehabilitation and wellness sectors. Through modern labs, experienced faculty, and hands-on clinical training, we aim to produce compassionate and competent professionals who contribute to the advancement of physical therapy practice and research.

Mission

To educate and empower students with the knowledge, clinical skills, and ethical foundations needed to become competent physical therapy professionals who can restore, maintain, and enhance human movement and function in diverse populations.

Vision

To be a leading institution in physical therapy education and research, nationally and internationally recognized for producing expert clinicians, innovative researchers, and advocates for public health, mobility, and rehabilitation science.

Philosophy

At the Department of Physical Therapy, we believe that movement is fundamental to health and quality of life. Our philosophy emphasizes:

  • Patient-Centered Care: Training therapists to treat the whole person with empathy, respect, and individualized care plans.
